Traditional USA White Sage "Salvia Alpinia" used by the American Indian indigenous people to cleanse & purify. To smudge. Ensure smudge stick is well lit- not flaming but embers. Carry heat proof plate & relight often as it is bad luck for the smudge stick to go out before completing the smudging. Close all external windows & doors. Smudge each room working throughout the home towards the front door. ( the door where everyone enters & leaves the premises). Pay special attention to second hand items, purchased or passed down to you. Once smudging is complete, close front door & extinguish. Leave premises for 3-4hours. Upon return, open all external windows & doors to release negative energies for approximately 1 hour. Maybe repeated after initial smudging, 4-7 days later.
